Ingredients for Raw Meatballs (Meatless) Recipe

  • 2 cups of bulgur for meatballs
  • 1 water glass of water
  • 1 large onion grater
  • 1 large tomato grater
  • 1. 5 tablespoons of sweet pepper paste
  • 1 tablespoon of hot pepper paste
  • 1 coffee cup of pomegranate syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of isot
  • 1 teaspoon of sumac
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tea glass of olive oil
  • Half a glass of sunflower oil

How to Make Raw Meatballs (Without Meat) Recipe?

  1. First, we wet the bulgur with 1 glass of hot water, cover it and wait until it cools.
  2. We grate the onion and drain the water. We grate the tomato. Tomatoes will be added last after all the ingredients are mixed.
  3. We add all the ingredients except sunflower oil and tomato grated on the warm bulgur and mix.
  4. Add the tomato grater at the last and knead for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Lastly, we add sunflower oil to the mixture and pass it through the blender. And we shape it by squeezing it with our hands.
  7. The hardness of the bulgur varies according to the brand. I have achieved the perfect consistency with these measurements. If your bulgur is hard, you can add 2-3 ice cubes while kneading and knead it.
  8. With these measurements, I can squeeze about 50 raw meatballs. When I first prepared it, I didn’t have the opportunity to take pictures. This is the photo of what I got from the mortar left from the evening to the morning.
